Aborg's answer is correct. But, to be more precise - you get 1000 plus 200 multiplied with number of days since round start. So, in the first day you have 1000 of each resources, on day 5 - 2000 and so on.

It was a change about 2 rounds ago -- it used to be 600 of each throughout the round but I think this system is much better -- I think starting now you'll start with like 10K-15K of each!

What he said was that the more gold there is in the game that day, the less it is worth when it is calculated. So if everyone is hoarding gold to build a ton of troops at once...then the gold value will go down.

Admin I think I have to not believe - this has to be a bug. If the resource exchange are based upon relative abundance between them then exchange of gold to X can't be 222 to 45 in both directions. Also if it is calculated I find it strange that for the past week its been exactly 100 gold to 222 resource or 45 gold to 100 resource exactly... hmmm I just like the days that its 100 gold to 222 resource more :)

I think storm's solution about going into vacation mode and then creating a new account is a good one. As long as you don't log into the old account there should be no issues with rule violation.

yea, I think so too. I had played in round 4, and now I just play back. It still keeps my score until now. The system will always have your email so if you want to start a new one, you have to use a new email.

Yes you have to use a different email to create a new account. Can't use the same email for 2 different accounts even if one was dead in the previous round. That character remains in the system. We have several ghosts hanging around in the HOF because of that :)

Yes you can do that drgnmaster but you have to use a different email to register I believe. I have never done it myself. I chose to learn the game and deal with getting beat up. Giving up and quitting is not in my DNA. I sucked it up and made friends in the game that TAUGHT me what I needed to do to make it in the game and then kept making more friends as time went on and that is what makes this world go round!!!

I would say just wait until the next round and create a new account with a new name. No one will know it was you, right? At least with this game, unlike most others, it has rounds where you make your account again at the beginning of each one. This game at least gives you that chance without having to start from scratch when everyone else is already building up big.

i think i see what optimus is trying to point out here, he is getting crushed so he wants to start a new one, forget about the past and make a new account, i think you can put your account into vacation optimus and then make a new account, and never ever ever ever ever ever open the previous one again, even if the vacation mode expires, does the system allow it?or if you get crushed during the start, you can't start a new one where you will be far from the big mean bullies?i am not so sure, but i think it should be allowed, putting it into vacation and starting a new one, it still follows the protocol of one account per ip since you no longer play the other one and it now a farm for everyone

If you cannot create 2 accounts, I think admin can just create an option to reset the account and maybe players can choose a new name after the reset. After that you can start a new life without deleting the old one.

There are lots of plusses and minuses for both playoff formats. For me I just enjoy not having to make my eyes bleed plundering to support several 10,000 HK castles. Still MrN I think has a point that there is very little advantage to be gained in the time before the playoff. Just like most professional sports though the "playoffs" usually put most teams on an equal level aside from a slight advantage due to seeding (for example the best team gets to square off against the worst team on the road to the championship). Since that doesn't really apply here- perhaps the #1 alliance should get an additional 5% off the total troops of their final target as a bonus?

I concede with Mog, the reason why admin did this is because the game was just too monotonous and it ended without too much strategy and wars, but with this new game play you need a lot of planning and coordination and also you can have a lot of wars before the release of FT being assured that everyone will start fresh army wise and i could go on :)

You are missing a valuable point here. The new format also gives new people a better chance in the game. They have the opportunity to try to come back from the abyss as it were. Using the first bit to learn the game some and learn from mistakes then in the 2nd part fine tune it. Or so I would hope. You have to have a little patience is all. This round has been pretty good I think. We have had some new blood come in and actually stick around long enough to see they like the game.

i think MrN is trying to point out that there isn't that much of an advantage when you play like crazy for months only to be equal with someone because you don't have your troops because of the vanish. i see the point there, but i think it is more fun this way, you have to admit it, more players become active after the troops wipe out, and more battles have occured, and its an advantage also if you played crazy in the start, you wind up with more castles, more castles more troops, and its much easier to crush those little players if you play like you used to in the start

That is good! I want it to be different! I played the other games (Evony and Travian and a couple others), but quit them both after just a couple days of barely playing to begin with. This one is definitely better than those, in my own opinion.

Yes, but he is not an unreasonable man. There is a basic time frame from which he (and we) work from. The guidelines are set. The idea is that the rounds are of a good length to give good game play. Then resetting for the new round so that we don't have unending monopolies in the game. Such as Evony and other such games have. No new worlds/servers need to be added here as a result. It is DIFFERENT from other games. We don't want it to be the same. That would defeat the purpose of it being a DIFFERENT game :)

You are correct drgnmsater on all accounts :) It creates the best of all worlds and gives everyone a little bit of what they all wanted. I like it this way so far. I get to build and farm for the first part and get to battle and build in the second part. And the target takes longer to go down now.

From what I saw of previous round threads (I read a lot of them, but not all), it seemed that people thought the game was ending too fast after the FT release date, because everyone just built up armies, and then launched them all at the FT right when it was released. Also, it seemed like people got tired of there being no actual action, another cause for that. I think this works nicely, you have your wars and stuff, and the you have buildup and FT attacking.
